Terminal Information
South Harbor Container and General Cargo Division
Container Division
ATI’s Container Terminal Division (CTD) is among the country’s major international trade gateways.
At par with global standards on safety, security, technology and efficiency, CTD provides 24/7 arrastre and stevedoring services to international shipping lines along Piers 3 and 5 which have 5 working berths with draft of 12 meters.
Efficient port operations are driven by modern planning and operations systems and the best terminal personnel in the industry armed with global and local experience.
Nine (9) ship-to-shore cranes, 23 modern rubber-tired gantries (RTGs), internal transfer vehicles and other handling equipment are optimized to deliver the best customer service.
Aside from well-defined yards for stacking laden and empty boxes, ATI has dedicated areas for reefer and dangerous cargoes and support facilities for stripping and stuffing, container freight services, x-ray examination and truck marshaling.
South Harbor’s multiple access gates are equipped with weighbridges and supported by automated truck queuing and call-up systems which are part of ATI’s contribution to improving traffic flow along roads. Further, the gates are installed with radiation detection portals for cargo security.
Keeping in step with the growth of the economy, additional container yards are being developed within Manila South Harbor Expanded Port Zone, while deployment of new equipment and continuous systems upgrades are underway to sustain the terminal’s high level efficiency.
Primarily serving Metro Manila and its surrounding environs, ATI’s Container Terminal is an indispensable partner for traders, manufacturers and consumers and intra-Asia shippers, providing cost efficiencies, economies of scale, and proximity to its Metro-based markets.
General Cargo Division
ATI’s Manila South Harbor is a comprehensive international seaport providing full-range of port services.
South Harbor’s General Stevedoring Division (GSD) can simultaneously accommodate various ships from foreign cruise vessels, to sensitive military ships on goodwill visits, to international sea freighters that deliver conventional cargoes and oversized shipment for the country’s major industries.
Its industry-specific gears and technically adept personnel make GSD a dependable choice for handling industrial cargoes like steel, heavy lifts, motor vehicles, project cargoes and other high-value commodities needed by the construction, mining, power, utilities and transport sectors.
GSD utilizes Pier 15 of Manila South Harbor, which has four working berths with depth of 10.5 meters. With open and covered storage spaces, including two warehouses and transit sheds for the storage of water sensitive and valuable cargoes, GSD can ably handle 1 million metric tons of bulk, break-bulk and general cargo annually.
Banking on its hardworking team comprised of seasoned professionals with highly specialized cargo handling skills, in tandem with its industry compliant lifting gears, heavy-lift equipment with safe working loads of 3 to 32 tons, ATI’s GSD remains a benchmark in general cargo handling services in the country.
GSD’s facilities are constantly upgraded to match the growing market demand for general and conventional cargoes.
Batangas Container Division
Batangas Container Terminal
ATI’s Batangas Container Terminal (BCT) is the most modern container terminal outside the Port of Manila and the best alternative international gateway for shippers based in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon).
From a modest start in 2010, BCT has expanded its role as trade facilitator for Calabarzon, providing business with a viable port option that keeps the flow of goods moving, especially amid road constraints and logistics challenges in Manila.
Among its key advantages is accessibility to production hubs within a 60-kilometer distance from the port. BCT is conveniently linked to the STAR tollway and the South Luzon Expressway leading directly to the port, with no truck ban, thus providing a safe and unimpeded road network for the supply-chain.
Just like Manila, all the elements of a world-class terminal are in place at BCT, from equipment, third-party truckers, brokerage, online systems, to Customs processes making it a convenient one-stop-shop for imports and exports.
Complemented by two quay cranes (QC), four rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTG), tractors and other cargo handling gears -- following global standards on equipment ratio – the 15-hectare BCT can handle in excess of 300,000 TEUs (twenty-footer-equivalent units) annually, or more than sufficient to accommodate Calabarzon’s current and potential volume.
Anchored on its proximity to the manufacturing hubs of South Luzon, port users have been benefiting from the competitive advantages of BCT, whose volume has grown exponentially driven by the natural shift of south-bound cargoes, growing customer preference and sustained carrier momentum.
On a weekly basis, international carriers call the port to connect shippers to regional hubs like Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia and other global markets.
Coping with the brisk container growth, ATI is continually optimizing vessel, yard and gate processes at BCT through continuous systems and technology upgrades.
Inland Depot Off-dock Yards
ATI operates strategic yard facilities outside its main terminals which extend convenient cargo handling and ancillary services to customers in Metro Manila and Southern Luzon.
Inland Clearance Depot
ATI’s four-hectare Inland Clearance Depot (ICD) in Calamba City, Laguna is a concrete-paved container yard which serves as the perfect supply chain partner for the major manufacturers and industrial zones located in Cavite, Laguna and Batangas.
ICD provides customers convenience by consolidating logistics services – from handling of containers, to trucking, storage, brokerage, customs-clearing and other ancillary services – for seamless and hassle-free shipment deliveries.
With its operational connectivity with Manila South Harbor and Batangas Container Terminal, ICD is able to deliver cargoes straight from the port to the manufacturers’ doorsteps, making it an ideal one-stop-shop partner for just-in-time production cycles.
Containers stored at ICD can quickly be deployed to their destination with the availability of franchise trucks 24/7.
Sta. Mesa Container Yard
ATI’s two-hectare Sta. Mesa container yard facility is an extension of the Manila South Harbor. It provides convenience for truckers returning empties and supports South Harbor’s efforts in quickly repositioning and evacuating empty boxes on-board vessels.
ATI Batangas General Cargo and Passenger Terminal
Batangas Port (Passenger, Ro-Ro & Bulk Cargoes)
ATI’s Batangas Port (Phase 1) is the top domestic port in the country in terms of passenger volume and serves as the primary springboard for commodities between mainland Luzon, the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) region and other nearby Visayas island destinations.
Annually, Batangas Port handles over three million outbound passengers and facilitates the transit of over 200,000 vehicles via high-speed inter-island ferries and Roll-on/Roll-off vessels plying the Luzon-Visayas interisland routes. Given its location, the port also serves as a strategic staging ground for domestic containerized trade between Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Aside from domestic operations, Batangas Port extends its expertise in handling international general cargoes. Utilizing two foreign multipurpose berths, Batangas Port facilitates efficient handling of general, bulk and break-bulk cargoes such as high density rocks, steel, lumber, completely built units (CBUs) and other bagged and project cargoes.
With its proximity and accessibility to the major car manufacturing hubs, the Port of Batangas remains as the preferred gateway for the country’s CBU imports. The port handles over 70,000 deliveries of compact cars, sedans, vans and Asian utility vehicles for the biggest car brands in the country, accounting for more than half of national car sales, annually.
The Port of Batangas likewise extends its logistics expertise to energy exploration companies in offshore Palawan as their strategic supply base depot.
